Tasks are stuck in active with the result "Client has initiated asynchornous policy execution".

Issue:

Tasks stuck at Client has initiated asynchornolus policy execution.
The C:\Program Files\LANDesk\ManagementSuite\landesk\files\ClientPolicies\CP.647.RunNow.xml is not getting created on the Core Server.
Following is in the POLICYTASKHANDLER.EXE.LOG file on the Core Server:
GenerateHash: C:\Program Files\LANDesk\ManagementSuite\landesk\files\ClientPolicies\CP.647.RunNow.xml does not exists, clear hash

 

 

 

 

Solution:

Fix the permissions on the C:\Program Files\LANDesk\ManagementSuite\landesk\files\ClientPolicies folder on the Core Server.

In properties of the ClientPolicies folder on the Security tab, make sure the following groups/users exist with the permissions listed:

IUSR - Read & Execute. List and Read

System - Full Control

Network Service - Full Control

LANDESK Management Suite - Full Control

LANDESK Administrators - Full Control

Administrators - Full Control
