Hello all,
We will be migrating to 9.6 SP1 in the next few weeks. Currently we are on 9.5 using the Desktop Manager app. We are planning to make heavier use of the Workspace app than we have the Desktop Manager.
As the saying goes, you only have one chance to make a first impression. When I roll out 9.6 I want to ensure that Workspace is a well oiled machine.
In testing WS, some apps seem to take up to 30 seconds spinning while "working". When the install starts, it will move as expected.
Another thing I've noticed is that the refresh function does not seem to work. I can go into Portal Manager after assigning a task to a computer, do the refresh in there, have the new app show in PM then switch back to WS to refresh and have it show there. If I hit the >>> in WS, it generally comes back with nothing new to show.
We have a mix of HTTP and UNC based install packages, but are moving most to HTTP.
What I am after here is the process flow, what happens when you hit the install button... what processes kick off... what logs are written to, etc.
Thanks.
