I am using Landesk 9.5 No SP1
Long time ago I made a Software distribution job that copies a file to a computer. Then schedule the job and check the Wake Up Devices in the Target Devices section to wake up a group of Computers.
I had not used this for a long time, many landesk versions ago.
Many of my sites now want to wake up labs of computers. Here's what I found in testing with 9.5.
1. Schedule my copy package, drag lab of computers to it and check the Wake up Devices. It wakes up computers and runs copy package and shuts computers down. Not what I want.
2. Schedule my copy package, drag lab of computers to it, Change delivery method to Multicast with WOL. It wakes up computers and runs copy job and leaves computers on. This is what I want.
Just wondered what others are doing.
I know if you purchase the Marxtar Wake on Wan it will do a group of computers but we can't afford this.
